UNAIP (United Nations Academic Impact Programme)

A meeting was held in MTTC on UNAIP (United Nations Academic Impact Programme) Scheduled with Mr. Saji Thomas, United Nations New York who was visiting member colleges of UNAIP on October 4th 2019. This is a free, invitation-only program presented by MCN for select undergraduate student leaders that are working on social impact projects in their communities. MCN Members are invited to participate in a special Webinar Series, engage with social impact leaders, and earn a certificate from MCN.

Millennium Campus Network (MCN), Inc., is a global student network advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. MCN programs convene, challenge, and celebrate student leadership for social impact.  The network, celebrating its 10th anniversary, has worked directly with over 5,500 young leaders from 300 universities through its programs.

MCN commenced in 2008 with its annual Millennium Campus Conference, which has been hosted at global institutions including Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and at the United Nations in New York.  MCN expanded its programming by launching the Millennium Fellowship in 2013 to deepen its training and support of undergraduate leaders committed to strengthening communities. In 2018, the United Nations Academic Impact and MCN have partnered to take the Millennium Fellowship to the next level, convening, challenging, and celebrating undergraduate leadership for the Sustainable Development Goals and UNAI principles.

The first Webinar was conducted today on 18th September 2020, Friday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am EDT (Indian time 6.30 pm to 7.30pm). Sam Vaghar, an American social entrepreneur and Executive Director and co-founder of the Millennium Campus Network conducted the webinar.
