Malayali Manka Contest

Students from all optional, M.Ed. & Research scholars participated. they have to explain the  views related to the shown pictures in Malayalam. Ms. Binsu Susan Joy (I year English) won the I Prize, Anaswara Sasi (I year SS) & Amrutha IP (II year Malayalam) secured the next two positions

Annual Tour for 2017-19 batch was held from 7th to 0th November. Kulathupuzha, Kodaikanal, Madhurai, Palaruvi etc, erre the places visited. Dr. Giby Geevarughese, Associate Proefssor, Mr. Nadhanine etc accompanies the team.

A field Trip was organized to Guru Gopinath Nadanagramam, a Dance Museum at Vattiyorkavu on 26th October. A demonstration class on Bharathanatyam was also arranged there for the students.

The Annual Sports Meet started with a March Past, Principal Dr. K. Y. Benedict received the salute. All students participated in the venture and team Periyar secured the highest position Pamba and Nila secured the next two positions respectively. Mr. Maneesh from Physical Science optional was selected as the meet Champion and Ms. Ammu from Malayalam Optional was selected as the Women's Champion.
Team Periyar secured the overall top position in the Arts and Sports meet. Nila & Pamba secured the next positions respectively.

DRISHYAM 2K18

Childrens Short Film show Drishyam 2K18 was conducted by 63rd College union on November 15th in the College Auditorim. there were comprtitions for Category I (UP), & Categiry II (HS& HSS). For Category !, Sarvodaya School was the winner, MGM and Christ Nagar were I & II Runner Up. In the II Category, Chriist Nagar was the winner, Christ Nagar & Good Shepherd were II & III Runner up.

SPARKZ 2018


The annual SPARKZ competition for the year 2018 was held on 4th & 5th October 2018 at the college auditorium. the two day programme that was conducted was the result of the zest and organizational capacity of  the 62nd College Union. The varied item in the competition included Best Prospective Teacher Selection, Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition etc, A new award for the Best Prospective teacher in Humanities was initiated by the 62nd College Union this year.
Ms. Feleeshiya John (Social Science Optional) bagged the Best Talented Prospective teacher award.

Arts Fest 2018


The Annual Arts Fest of the College- ‘Navadalam’ was staged on the College Auditorium on 18th & 19th September.  Mr. Jayachandran Kadambanad, master of Nadanpat inaugurated the programme. The artistic talents of the students were showcased on the two platforms of Neelakurunji and Shankhupushpam.

 


Team Nila won the Top score, Periyar secured the second and Pamba 3rd place respectively. Meenu Mariyam J from I year English Optional selected as Sargaprathibha, Aromal Sreekumar was seected as Kalaprathibha and Tintu Elsa Abraham as Kalathilakam

Post-Flood- Relief Efforts


1st year Bed students along with faculty members joint hands in union with Govt. of Kerala in the march towards the creation of NavaKerala by lighting the lamp and marking their creative identity on a king sized canvas. Dr. K. Y. Benedict, Principal initiated the programme with his message on the canvas and Dr. Giby Geevarughese delivered message in the concluding session.

The Literary Fest of 62nd College Union ‘Shrishti 2k18’ was conducted on 11th & 12th September. The students were divided into 3 groups- Periyar, Nila and Pamba. Students participated in the fest with great enthusiasm and team spirit.

Holy Mass


AICUF unit of the college organized the Holy Mass on 7th September 2018. Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalakkal celebrated the holy mass.

Teachers day celebration

62nd College Union conducted a programme on Teachers Day ‘Gurucharya 2018’ on 5th September at the auditorium. Sri. Ganapathy Pothy, who was selected as the best teacher was the chief guest. Dr. K. Y. Benedict, rev. Fr. Thomas Kayallakkal, all te teachers participated in the programme. Principal honoured the Chief Guest by adorning him with ‘Ponnada’ and students showed their love and respect to their teachers in a traditional way.

Feedback after practice teaching


2017-19 batch after practice teaching returned th the college on 3rd September. They shared their experiences and view points in the general feedback session held in the general hall.

Physical Science Association ‘Insight’ organized their optional assembly on 29th August 2018.
Social Science Association organized their assembly on 5th September with a variety of programmes. They honoured the teachers by giving cards and flowers.

Independence Day celebration

72nd Independence Day celebration started with Campus cleaning cum Collective Food initiative/ exchange. Dr. T. P. Jose, in charge of the Health Club initiated the programme on 14th August, Dr. Ancy A. S and Mr. Nadhaninr assisted the programme. On 15th August, Principal Dr. K. Y. Benedict hoisted the National Flag and Social Science Optional Students conducted a Quiz programme.

Social visit


The B.Ed. 2018-20 batch students selected Shalom for their social visit in connection with curriculum requirements. Dr. Giby Geevarughese inaugurated the programme at Shalom and Dr. Joju John handled the sessions. Students spend the whole day sympathetically with the mentally challenged students and entertained them by songs and games.

Natural Science Association ‘Pritvi’ organized assembly on 8th August. On the occasion, they distributed paper pen to all the MTTC members as a message to preserve our environment and prevent plastic waste.

Essay Writing competition

Sathya Sai Seva organization conducted an essay writing competition on 6th August AN at the college general hall. The title of the competition was ‘My idea of a ideal person’. Students from all optional participated in the competition.

Friendship day celebrations


1st year Natural Science Association ‘Prithvi’ organized a Friendship day celebration on 6th August 2018 with a video presentation and a short message. On the occasion they distributed a smiley badge to the members of the entire college.

Teacher Genesis Competition

Labour India college of Education, Pala conducted a Teacher Genesis Competition on 21st March 2018. Four students from our College Participated in the venture and Sreelekshmi won First Prize for Physical Science Optional and Shilpa S Nair won 2nd Prize for Natural Science Optional. Jobin David won the 3rd prize in the competition

The 61st batch and the College Union organized an exhibition of Innovative Works 'EDUSCAPE 2k18 on 14th February 2018. rev. Msgr. Dr. Varkey Attupurath, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese inaugurated the programme. Second semester students exhibited the best of their innovative works that they had prepared during their internship programme.




THEOSA Tour

THEOSA Tour 2018 was held on 10th February. This time Vazhvannthol Waterfalls was the tour destination. The old students along with the current students enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls and cool stream of Vazhvanthol. The tour concluded by 05.30.

Health Club organized a public Health Awareness Programme on the importance of doing exercise. Dr. T. P. Jose, our faculty conducted the seminar and demonstration on 'How we can improve our health by doing exercise.


Poster Making Competition
