International Women's Day

International women’s day celebration in collaboration with Malankara SocialService Society was held at MTTC on 11th march 2019 at 3.00pm . Principal Dr K Y Benedict addresses welcome speech and Shashi  taroor MP inaugurated the function. Mrs A J Oleena delivered a speech related to women’s day.Also  Fr Thomas Mukulampurath deliver vote of thanks

Rangolsav 2019

All kerala training college arts fest RANGOLSAV ‘19 held @peet memorial training college mavelikara on 8th& 9th march 2019. Mar Theophilus training college also a participant in total of 41 college. There were various items of competition held their include writing ,instrument and drawing competitions (essay ,short story,pencil drawing,colour painting,face painting etc)
    Also skit,mime,thiruvathira, fusion dance, folk dance, group song , nadan pattu,light music and recitation etc
Out of 41 mttc placed 1st runner up position with 104 points .

Rangolsav victory celebration program was held at mttc on 11th march 2019 1.30pm. Principal Dr k y Benedict and bursar Fr Thomas kayyalakal congratulate the winners. Prize distribution and short speech by principal Dr k y Benedict.

PTA

The PTA general body meeting for the 2018-20 batch was held on 6th March 2019 at Seminar Hal II

Chandrakalabham

Malayalam Association organized a programme 'Channdrakalabham' which is related to old film songs. All the selected optional students participated in the programme. I Semester Malayalam Optional was the first prize followed by the English Optional at Second Place.

Demonstration Classes

Discussion with News 18 Channel

A discussion session was organized by News 18 Channel on 16th February 2019. Modern Teacher Education as a major item in the National Election as a major item in National Election manifesto of parties int the next general Election 2019 was the topic.

UCo Camp

Phase II of UCo Camp on Aadhar enrollment for the public was held on 15th February 2019

Letter Writing Competition

Physical Science Association organized a letter writing competition for teachers as part of Valentines Day Celebrations. Mrs. Deepthi Elizabeth Mathew won the forts prize in letter writing competition.

Annual Exhibition

62nd College Union organized an annual exhibition of innovative works, models, charts and teaching aids on 14th February 2019. Dr. Resmi Raghunathan, Faculty, Dept. of Chemistry, M.G. College inaugurated the exhibition. students presented their innovative works with great enthusiasm.

External Examination

The External Viva Voce of 2017- 19 batch was held on 12th & 13th February 2019.

Annual THEOSA Tour

Annual THEOSA Tour was organized on February 9. The destination included Palode Botanical Garden, Mangayam Waterfalls, Kulathuppuzha and Kudakkathupara. The journey started from the College at 8.30 AM and we returned back to college at 08.00 PM. One day tour of 2018-20 batch was also clubbed with the THEOSA Tour.

PTA Meeting

PTA general body meeting for 2017-19 batch was conducted on 4th February 02.00 PM in the General Hall II. Majority of the parents came & shared their experiences, concerns  and joys on the occassion.

Aadhar Enrollment

A venue was provided in our College in collaboration with UCo Bank for free Aadhar Enrollment and correction on 4th February for the public. Many of the staff and students along with local population benefited from the programme.

Holy Mass

First Holy Mass for the month of February was celebrated on 1st February by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalakkal.

ICT Club

ICT club organized a talk on health issues on 31st January 2019. They discussed the various health problems, causes and how to overcome it. A quiz session was also followed by the talk.

Republic Day Celebration

70th Republic Day Celebration was celebrated on 26th January 2019.The entire college gathered at the portico at 08.30 AM and Dr. K. Y. Benedict, Principal hoisted the National Flag & delivered Republic Day Message.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
The painting Competition was conducted on the topic “Science and Society” for college students. Aswathy I, Mar Theophilus Training College was bagged the first position and VisakhAmbedkar, College of Fine Arts; Thiruvananthapuram got the second position, whereas Arya Krishna L.K. of   St. Thomas Training College, Mukkola had got the third position. In the Science Fiction Short Story Writing for secondary school students, In English script, Sangeetha M.R., SarvodayaVidyalaya, Thiruvananthapuram (First Position) and Abhirami T Subhash ,SarvodayaVidyalaya,Thiruvananthapuram (Second Position).In Malayalam script, Archa A.J., St.Thomas Higher Secondary School,Mukkola (First Position) Sredha Krishna ,St.John’s Model Higher Secondary School,Nalanchira (Second Position) secured prizes. In the science Quiz Competition held on 27th February for student teachers, Gopika G Nair and Naseeb R from Kerala University Centre for Teacher Education, Karyavattom secured the first position and AnjuJayaraj and FathimaRavuthar , Mar Theophilus Training College, Nalanchira bagged the Second Position. Mr. Prakash G.T., Assistant Professor in Chemistry, Government Arts and Science College, Thiruvananthapuram served as the Quiz Master.
A lecture by Prof. C. P. Aravindakshan ,Science Popularist and Former Principal, Govt. Women’s College, Thiruvananthapuram on the topic “Importance Of Curiosity in Science Teaching” was highly Enriched and Influential one. He explained the science through Experiments and Activities.
