Club formation

16/11/17

Club formation of 2017-18 academic year was held on 16th November 2017. Students were divided into numerous club and teachers were designated to give them the necessary guidance. A president and Secretary were selected from each club and they held their first meeting/ executive to plan their future programmes.

Short Film Fest

14/11/17

In connection with Children’s Day, the 62nd College Union organized a short film fest on 14th November 2017. Students from different schools participated in the film fest. Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Akkulam, won the first prize and St. John’s Model HSS, Nalanchira won the Runner up trophy.

Pre-Submission Seminar

Pre submission seminar of the Doctoral Thesis of Ms. Salini S, Med faculty of this college was held on 13th November 2017 at the Department of Education, Thycaud. She is doing her PhD under the guidance of Dr. Giby Geevarughese, faculty of this college itself. Dr. Celin Perera was the Chairperson of the programme.

Oath taking ceremony

62nd college union took Oath of office on 13th November 2017 at college Portico and signed the document in the presence of Principal & entire college family. Ms. Deepthi Elizabeth Mathew was deputed as the Staff Advisor of the present batch.

Musical fiesta

A musical fiesta was organized by 61st college union in connection with annual college fest, SPARKZ-17 at Mar Gregorios Renewal Centre. Mr. Ben Johnson, a former student of the college was the lead singer.

Inter collegiate Quiz Competition & Badminton Competition & SPARKZ

Mar Baselios Inter Collegiate Quiz competition was held on 6th November 2017. 8 team from different colleges participated in the competition. KUCTE, Kumarapuram won the first prize & Christ Nagar won the runner up trophy. Mr. Boby Raj S S, Kerala University Assistant was the Quiz Master.

On the same day during the afternoon session, the Inter Collegiate Badminton competition for men and women was conducted at Mar Baselios Indoor Court. 5 teams competed for the women’s trophy & 6 for the mens. The host team won the trophy in both sessions. Mr. Alan Abraham & Mr. Aromal (English Optinal) MTTc won the Men’s Trophy & Sr. Mini M Jose (Social Science Optional) & Elizabeth Mathew (English Optional) won the Women’s Trophy. GCTE Thycadu grabbed the runner up trophy for both session.

SPARKZ 17

The annual college fest SPARKZ was held on 6th & 7th November 2017. The inauguration was done by Prof. Aliyaar, renown Cine actor, Formerly HOD Malayalam Dept, University College. The blessing speech was delivered by Rt. Rev. Yoohanon Mar Theodosius, the Curia Bishop of the Major Archdiocese of Tvpm.

Malayali Manka Contest

English Association ‘Castala’ organized Malayali Mank Contest on Nov 1st 207. Students from all optional participated in the event. Ms. Feleeshiya John (Social Science Optional) won the Malayali Mank title, Ms. Vishn Priya (Natural Science) & Ms. Fathima (Natural Science) were the first and Second Runner up

Logo Inauguration

The talented perspective teacher & best science teacher competition event will be held on 7th November 2017. 2015- 17 batch released a logo for the event on 30th October 2017 at the college Portico.

IQSC Workshop

IQSC organized a workshop on 19th October 2017 on ‘Towards e-enabled class’. Teachers and research scholars attended the session. Dr. Shafi Thompson served as the resource person.

Arts & Aesthetic Workshop

20/10/17

Two day Workshop on Arts & Aesthetic was organized on 19th & 20th October 2017. Dr. Johnson Varghese, Rtd. Professor, Mar Ivanios College led the workshop. Students wrote scripts & present act on the basis of the script.

Second day, a field trip was organized to Guru Gopinath Dance Museum. A demonstration class on Bharathanatyam was organized for the benefit of the students. The wax museum and pictures of different dance forms were the main attraction.

Arts Fest 2017

Arts Fest ‘ Manjuthara 2017’ was conducted on 12th & 13th October  2017. Students participated in three houses. Divya K (English Optional) was selected as Kalathilakam and Giri Shankar (Malayalam Optional) was selected as Kalaprathibha.

Ezhuthachan Quiz

Malayalam Optional students conducted Ezhuthachan quiz competition on 10th October 2017. Participants from six Colleges participated in the competitions. SN College Pothencode won the Everrolling Trophy and the host team (MTTC) won the Runner up Trophy.

Mission Zero Waste

Natural Science Association ‘Prakriti’ Organized a programme named ‘Mission Towards Zero Waste’ Mr. Pallipuram Jayakumar was the chief guest, who gave an informative talk about how to dispose plastic waste.

SPARKZ College Level Selection

Best Talented Perspective Teacher, Best Science Teacher Competition -SPARKZ-17, (Strategic Programme for Assessing the Resourcefullness Knowledge and Zeal) college Level selection was held on 9th October 2017. Ary Parasad from Natural Science Optional was selected from Natural Science and Giri Shankar from Malayalam Optional was selected as the best Talented Perspectice Teacher . the final competition will be held on 7th November 2017.

Inter Optional Badminton competition

College Level Badminton Competition was held on 6th October 2017. Aromal & Allen Araham (1st year English Optional)got selecton in Mens Category to represent the college.

Holy mass

Holy mass was celebrated in the college under the auspicious of the college AICUF unit on 6th October 2017, in the remembrance of Mr. Luckose, our Library Assistant. Family members of Mr. Luckose participated in the mass.

Swatch Bharath Mission

It was announced by the Principal as College Union, Eco Club and Natural Science Optional Students initialized to clean the entire college premises on 5th October, related to Sevanavaram. All the Optional Students along with teaching & administrative staff engaged in this venture.

International Teachers Day Celebration

English Association FIAMMA organized the International Teachers Day on October 5th in a special way and showed their love and respect towards the teachers.
On the same day Natural Science Optional Students also wished the teachers by giving the Teachers Day card and Gurudakshina.

Essay competition

As par tof Gandhi Jayanti celebration, Govt. issued orders to celebrate the week from 2nd October to 8th October in honour of Gandhi Jayanti week and conducted an esay writing competition. Population Education Club and the college Union conducted an Essay writing competition in which Shiney Alex (Malayalam Optional, 1st Sem) & Anju V R (English Optional, 3rd Sem) won the first and second places respectively.

Sports Day

Annual Sports Fest ‘SPARTA 2K17’ was held on 28th September 2017. The college Principal Dr. K. Y. Benedict hosted the flag and received the salute of the March Past.

Deepashikha prayanam

Before the commencement of the Spots Day, a Deepashikha Prayanam was organized by the 61st College Union on 27th September 2017.

Street Play

English Association FIAMMA organized a street play on 27th September 2017, to make aware about the importance of preserving a healthy heart a brochure related to cardiac health was given to the entire MTT College & to the teachers of the practice teaching schools. They also organized a class related to Heart on 11th October 2017. The class was handled by Dr. Shifas Babu, consultant surgeon, GG Hospital.

Literary Fest

Onam Celebration

61st College Union organized Onam Celebration on 3th August 2017. Dr. Girish Kumar, Keltron Project Officer & former Co-ordinator DIET, was the chief guest.
