Commission Visit

As part of the B.Ed. Course, External Viva is being conducted for the B.Ed. second semester students.  The visit by external evaluators started on 16^th November and will continue till the 18^th November 2015. The phases of the Viva include General Viva, Physical Education viva, & Class Observation for all the students. A few from each optional will have an additional viva with the Coordination Chairman.

M.Ed. Second Semester Exam

The University Exam for Second Semester M.Ed. 2015 Batch was held on 11^th and 13^th November, 2015. The papers were CS3: Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education and Optional subject Education.

Ezuthachan Memorial Trophy

5^th November 2015

On the 5^th November 2015, the Malayalam Optional Association conducted the Ezuthachan Memorial inter Collegiate Quiz Competition. Quiz Master Mr. Sibin Antony conducted the Quiz in 8 rounds namely- ‘ Sahithyam’, ‘Vyakthithvam’, ‘Keralam’, ‘Chitram-Vichitram’, ‘Bhoolokam’, ‘Shastra Sangethikam’, ‘Vinodam’, ‘Choothattam’, a total of 6 colleges participated, the winners were participants from Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thycaud. First runners up were KUCTE Karyavattom and the Second runners up were the Home Team itself.

SCREENING FOR BEST TEACHER

Screening for the best teacher from among the second semester B. Ed. Students of Mar Theophilus Training College was conducted on the 4^th November 2015. One student from each optional participated. The selection was based on performance of two rounds namely proficiency in teaching and specific talents of each participant. Ms. Selin S. Jacob of English Optional was selected as the best teacher and Sr. Bincy of Physical Science Optional was selected as the best science teacher.  These two finalists would be competing with other participants from ten other colleges for ‘SPARKZ’ – the inter-collegiate competition to find the best teacher trainee from Thiruvananthapuram.

FORMATIVE EVALUATION

Formative evaluation for the first and second semester B.Ed. students are being conducted on the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th of November, 2015. 20 multiple choice questions would be included from each paper.
