Teacher’s day

A tribute to our former president Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the teacher’s day, was celebrated in the college on the 7th September. The College Union Chairman made a video presentation and gave away mementos to all the teachers.

Retreat for the M.Ed. students

On the 4th September, 2015 both the first semester and second semester M.Ed. students along with their teachers went on a trip to the backwaters of Alappuzha. It was an opportunity for the first semester students to mingle with the seniors and a well deserved break for the second semester students from the hectic thesis work. The boat trip, the beautiful scenery, the large expanse of water and fresh breeze was all a balm to the body, mind and soul.

Sargalaya Arts fest 2015



The arts and literary competitions were held in the college from 3rd to 8th September. Literary items included essay writing, short story writing and versification in Malayalam, Hindi and English. Pencil drawing was also included as one of the items. The literary items were conducted in afternoon session on 3rd and 4th.
The art items included light music, recitation, elocution, mimicry, mono act, tableau, ‘kathaprasangam’, fancy dress and group song which were held in two venues: Keli and Nadanam on the 7th of September. On the 8th there were competitions in folk dance, group dance, thiruathira dance and skit.
The participants were B.Ed students of 2014-15 batch who entertained the rest of the college with their spectacular performance.

MTTC Welcomed Mahabali

Onam Celebrations were held with much pomp and show in the college campus. A beautiful ‘Pookalam’ (Floral Design) was arranged in the portico of the college. There were a lot of activities such as ‘Onapaattu’ competition, ‘Thiruvathira’ dance by the teachers. Onam message by the Bursar, Fr. Thomas Kayalackkal, the scrumptious Onasadya and an array of Onam Games including ‘Vadamvali’ (tug –of- war) between Staff and Students. It was a lively day of fun and was much enjoyed by all gathered.

Talk on current practices under SSA

Mrs. Shyla  Bhai, SSA Trainer from Kaniyapuram Block Resource Centre gave a talk on the Central Government project,  SSA and its practices in the primary and secondary school system. Special focus was given to Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, inclusive education, SSA interventions, funding and its current objectives.
            It was a highly informative and interactive session which gave the students a relatively direct perspective about the current educational policy and practices.
