Student Teachers celebrated the Yoga Day in their assigned
schools on June 22nd. They gave awareness programme on Yoga and
taught some yoga practices. All optional students participated in the venture.
One of the major activities in teaching practice begins on
21st June 2017 and will continue till August 25th. Five schools
have been selected and all the teacher trainees have been allotted one of the
five schools for their teaching session.
Malayalam optional students conducted a Vayana Varakhosham
on June 19 & 20. Books from different publishers were exhibited at the
auditorium and we got a chance to buy the books and read it .
The most crucial academic requirement in the M.Ed.
curriculum, the thesis preparation and its key activity- the data collection
begins on 19th June 2017 and will extend up to 15th July.
Natural Science optional students conducted a Blood Donation
poster competition on June 14, 2017. Students from each optional participated
in the programme and students from physical science optional won the
competition.
The B.Ed. students of Natural Science and Physical Science optional
along with members of Eco Club performed skits which highlighted the issues
causing environmental breakdown and degradation. It not only gave the audience
an awareness about the various problems our planet and its occupants are facing
but also gave hints at solutions to these problems.
As part of our B.Ed. curriculum, five day residential
community living camp was held from 29th May to 2nd June
2017. The venue for the programme was Rajeev Gandhi institute. Mr. G. V. Hari,
Dr. Alexander Jacob IPS, Excise CI Mr. Shibu, & Bhramanayakam Sir took
classes. On the last day the visited Kottor rehabilitation centre.
