Peace is a comprehensive concept and is an interdisciplinary field of
study. Dimensions of peace education can be from individual level to global
level. Effective education can develop future citizens having an integrated
personality, to create peaceful society; citizens should have positive
thinking, empathetic attitude, critical thinking etc. Peace
education can help to understand the nature and origins of violence and its
effects on both victim and perpetrator and equip people with conflict
resolution skills. Peace education can help to avoid physical violence,
structural violence political violence and cultural violence Peace education
may create a more peaceful where all of us become agents for change by creating
proper values and attitudes. In the emerging social scenario, peace education
is relevant. The study highlights the role of teachers in promoting positive attitudes,
and to contribute a better future for the future citizens. Teachers have to
integrate peace education principles into their teaching, perhaps by being a
role model of nonviolence for the students, by treating all students equally
and fairly, with compassion, or by promoting democracy in your classroom
