Since the University of Kerala scheduled the date for Exam, the Model Exams were scheduled from 24th to 29th October for First Semester Students & from 28th October to 1st November for Third Semester students.

School Induction Programme

As part of B.Ed. School Induction Programme, the student teachers were sent to ten schools in Thiruvananthapuram city from 15 to 19th October. They got back with the written reports of their school experience on 21st October.

Annual Tour

Third Semester Students organised their Annual Tour as part
of their curriculum from 14th October to 22nd October.
The destinations were Delhi, Agra and Amritsar. Dr. Giby Geevarghese, Dr. Laji
Varghese and Mr. Nadhanine J.P. along with the students participated in the
tour.
Demonstration Class

Demonstration classes conducted on 10th and 11th October.

First and Third Semester students had done Mid-Semester MCQ
on 9th,10th,11th and 14th of
October 2019 from 9.30-10.15 am sysytematically.
Ezhuthachan Quiz Competition

Malayalam Association conducted the inter-collegiate Quiz
Competition in Malayalam on 10th October 2019.The Quiz Master was
Mr. Ajith Krishnan, SRG member and Expert in Malayalam language. Six Colleges
were participated Deepika and Thushara of Mar Theophilus Training College won
the ‘Ezhuthachan Puraskaram’.
Literary Fest

The 63rd college union conducted the Literary
Fest 2019 as “Ezhuthidam” on 9-11th October .It includes 14 items for competition includes Essay writing (Malayalam,
English,Hindi )Poetry Writing (English, Malayalam, Hindi) Short Story Writing
(English, Malayalam, Hindi) Craft Making, Collage, Cartoon Sketch, Pencil
Drawing, Painting .
UNAIP Visit

United nations Academic Impact Programme was initiated by
Mr. Saji Charuvil Thomas, New York as UN representative on 4th
October at Mar Theophilus Training College. As the third institution under
Malankara Syrian Management System, Mar Theophilus Training College is
affiliated as the ember since 24th July .Dr. Joju John, Dr. Maya S.
and Dr. Laji Varghese are appointed as
the staff coordinators of the programme.
House-Wise Grouping

All the student teachers are grouped into four houses namely
Nilagiri, Satpura, Vindhya and Aravalli to ensure their participation in
Literary, Arts and sports Events on 3rd October2019.
Charity Compaign.

The M.Ed. Department of the college conducted a charity
campaign for the differently abled children of CSI Higher Secondary School for
the partially Hearing, Manakkala , Adoor on October 1st 2019.About 50 members including, Teachers,
Students and PTA members participated in the programme. Both the institutions
enriched the Event with respective cultural programmes.
Fitness Hour programme

As per the UGC, Fit India Guidelines the college organised a
one hour sports time from
4 pm to 5 pm daily
from 28th September. All student teachers will participate in it
either by organising their own items or by participating in games already
assigned. Sport Secretaries are in charge of the session.
Global Climate Strike

The students from Mar Theophilus Training College
Participated in Global Climate Strike Programmes coordinated by March for
Science at the Institute of Engineers Hall ,Kanakakunnu at 28th
September. The programme from the college was associated with Popular Science
Centre of the College. It included Cycle Rally, Balloon Art Show, Mentalist
Demonstration and Lecture on Climate change Issues.

Micro-Teaching Sessions Begun

As part of the B.Ed. Curriculum, Micro Teaching Session begun by 24th
September2019.
Paying Homage to Dr. T. P. Jose

Dr. T. P. Jose , Associate Professor was passed away to
eternal rest on September20.The college community paid the tribute to their benevolent teacher by
saluting his services in the presence of his mortal remains in college chapel
on 23rd Monday 8.30 am. Then the funeral procession reached his home
and later to Marthoma Church ,Mukkolakkal .The funeral services ended by 4.30
pm. At the time of shocking departure of the prideful teacher in Physical
Education, the college community as a whole compelled to accept the truth that Jose
Sir happily went to take over the next great Adventure beyond perceiving Life.
Mar Theophilus Basketball Tournament

On 17th and 18th September, Mar
Theophilus Basket ball tournament was conducted.10 teams of boys and 9 teams
of girls were participated. Inauguration
on 17th September was done by Monsigr. Rev .Dr. Mathew
Manakkarakavil , Secretary ,MSC Colleges by basketing the ball. The closing
ceremony on 18th September was chaired by Adv. Anoop Jacob
(Ex-Minister, Civil Supplies),Rev.Dr. Varkey Attupurathu Secretary MSC Schools
on 18th September 2019.The presence Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayalakkal
throughout the Event was highly appreciated.

Ozone Day Celebrations

As part of Ozone Day Celebrations, the Eco Club of our
college along with Prithvi Association organised a procession from Main gate to
College holding Placards on 16th September. The rally meant to
convey the importance of preserving our
Ecosystem.
RUSA Orientation Programme
5.0
On 5th September, the Kerala State Higher
Education Council coordinated the RUSA Network Workshop for giving Research
orientation for different colleges in Kerala state who were selected under RUSA
project. Dr. Bindu B. and Dr. Neena Thomas from the college
appointed as the coordinators in the college for the project.
New batch Begins
As per order received from University of Kerala, new batch
students were interviewed and admitted by 30 and 31st August. From
September 1st onwards, the joined batch infused to the existing
batch.
Completing the First Phase of Teaching Practice
On 24th August, third semester students returned back from
teaching practice to the college.
Gandhi Thoppi Preparation

creative club, prepared ‘Gandhi Thoppi’ for Independence day Celebrations.

UNAIP Millennium Fellowship Registration

About 25 students from B.Ed and M.Ed. registered for UNAIP
Millennium Fellowship programme 2020 by
submitting a research proposal, which is a attempt for student exchange
programme, as the college became a member of United Nations Academic Impact
Programme from July 24 2019.
Colloquium on Draft New Education Policy 2019

A Colloquium on
Draft New Education Policy 2019 was conducted on 27th July in the
college. Dr. V. Reghu presented the
Key-note address. Seven papers were presented on the Pros and Cons of the
policy. The programme was organised by CTE, Kerala Chapter.

Board of studies conducted an orientation workshop on B.Ed.
Curriculum on 10th July .Around 150 teacher educators from various
colleges participated in it. They discussed the Pros and Cons of the
implementing curriculum .
Environmental Awareness Course

July for Graduate and post Graduate Students.
Optional Assembly

M.Ed. Department coordinated the first optional assembly of
the 2019-2021 batch on 10th July. Thereafter Assemblies will be
coordinated by each optional on each Wednesday.
Mar Ivanios commemoration

The college community conducted a prayer session at Mar Ivanios Kabar Chapel,
