Executive committee- Clubs

On 5^thJuly, Clubs Executive committee were conducted to schedule various programmes for the academic year. A motivational class by Mr. Jobin Kontoor were conducted for encouraging the students. At 2pm, Blessing of College followed by Holy Mass were organised.

B.Ed/M.Ed. 2019-21 Batch

01.07.19

B.Ed. and M.Ed. Batch of 2019-2021 were commenced on 1^st July with Inter-religious prayer and PTA meeting for the announcements relating to the course implementation. General Induction Programme and Campus Familiarisation were done on 2^nd July. A motivational session by Mr. Hari G.V., Chairman, Jawahar Balajana Vedi   was conducted. The Campus Awareness session by Dr. Jose T.P. were conducted. On the 4^th July, Club and Association orientation were given by Faculty members and Learning Management System was introduced to new batch by Dr. Laji Varghese.

B.Ed./ M.Ed. Application

The notification for applying for the B.Ed. and M.Ed. course 2019-2021 were given 20^th May and the first allotment on 24^th June. Interview conducted on 28^th and 29^th June 2019.

Inter-Religious Prayer

On 21^st June, Inter-religious Prayer Session for B.Ed. Practice teaching were conducted. An Orientation Session was conducted on June 22^nd by Dr. K. Y. Benedict.

PTA

20.06.19

On 20^thJune, PTA for B.Ed. were conducted to inform the arrangements for the Teaching-Practice Session executing from 24 June to 09 August 2019.

Send off

18.06.19

On 18^th June, an official sent off were given to the retiring Librarian of the college Sr. Adarsa SIC.

Optional Practicum

17.06.19

On 17^th June, all students presented and submitted their Reflection on the Book they had read as part of their Optional Practicum. The Reflection were assessed and graded. On the same day morning, students went to their respective schools for collecting time table for their Teaching-Practice Session. Afternoon the students returned with time table and participated in the Television Show conducted by JaiHind TVon the topic “Changing Food Habits and Changing Employment Possibilities”.

Add on Course -Communicative English

On 17^th June, Communicative English as an Add on Course was started and continue for all B.Ed. Students from 9.00-9.30 am by Dr. Joju John.

Yoga Class

Since 13^th June, Yoga Classes started and on every Thursday from 9-10.15 am Yoga class will be led as part of the curriculum.

Assembly- Physical Science Optional

11.06.19

On 11^thJune, the Optional Assembly restarted in which Physical Science managed the event. The main theme was Prevent Child Labour.

Reopening

06.06.19

On 6^th June the college re-opens with General Introduction and Commencement for Third Semester. The college paid their tribute to His Excellency Gee Varghese Mar Thimoothiyoos, Archbishop of Thiruvalla through the Holy Mass on 6^th June at College Chapel.

Community Living Camp

The Community Living Camp was conducted from 31^st May to 4^thJune. The Camp included Yoga practice, Visit to Ananthapuri Hospital, Vellayani Agricultural University and Kottur Elephant Park. The Venue was Mitraneketan Centre, East Fort and Kottur Elephant Centre. The programme was an Enriching, Refreshing Mode.

CTE Kerala State Centre- Colloquium

On 29^th May CTE Kerala State Centre conducted a colloquium in Mar Theophilus training college to discuss the Pros and Cons of the new NAAC Draft Manual of Accreditation of Teacher Education Colleges and Physical Education Colleges. The suggestions emerged were uploaded.

Theatre practice workshop

Theatre practice workshop were organised as part of Art and Aesthetics for Second Semester B.Ed. Students on 4^th May. On the same Day, an Awareness Cum Orientation Programme on Feminist Pedagogy was conducted by research Forum.
