Homage to the Great Poet

The College Union organized a condolence meeting “Oru Vattom Koodi’ to pay respect to the most loved Malayali poet Sri. ONV Kurup who passed away on 13.02.2016. a short visual documentation of the poet’s life and works were displayed. There was a recital of Sri. ONV Kurup’s famous poem “Kothambu Mani” by Ms. Celine of Malayalam Optional Class.

Seminar at Mithranikethan

The m.ed. students attended a seminar at mithraniketan. They were accompanied by Mrs. Salini S. Asst. Professor. There were presentations by various eminent personalities in the field of education. 

Strokes of Delight

Strokes of Delight- Art Exhibition & Food Festival & Sale of Handicrafts was organized by Symphony, the M.Ed. Association 2015-17 on the 5th February 2015. The Art Exhibits by Ms. Gopika was inaugurated by imminent Lyricist Mr. George Thomas. A colouring book compiled from the line art composition of Ms.Gopika was also released during the inauguration.

In the afternoon there was a grand sale of various food items, handicrafts, dress materials and ornaments.

National Workshop on Emotional Intelligence

Visit by Inspection Team

27.10.2016 
 An inspection team from the University of Kerala visited the college to check out the feasibility of granting M. Phil. Course in our college. The team members inspected the infrastructural and academic facilities of the college during the one hour visit. Earlier in the day the Malayalam Optional students conducted the assembly with a special Republic Day theme

Republic Day Celebrations

26.01.2016 

Special flag hoisting ceremony was conducted in the college premises. Dr. K. Y. Benedict, our principal hoisted the flag in the presence of staff and students. In the evening the teaching faculty participated in the republic day tea party hosted by the Honourable Governor of Kerala, Retd. Justice P. Sathasivam, at Kerala Raj Bhavan.

Social service by M. Ed. Students

25.01.2016 

The M.Ed. students continued the social service started by the B. Ed. students on Saturday. They served lunch and participated in the social activities as part of the Annual School Youth Festival at the Police Training Ground at Thycaud. There were 7 counters which were run by the teacher’s in charge. The M. Ed. scholars also got an opportunity to meet the education minister, Mr. Abdu Rabb who visited the venue.

Social work by B.Ed. students

The College union organized a service program as part of SUPW where the students of B. Ed. Department participated in serving lunch to the school students who had gathered for the Annual State School Youth Festival – ‘Kerala School Kalothsavam’.  The venue for this program was the Police Training Ground at Thycaud.

Nature Trip by M.Ed. Students

22.01.2016 

Teachers and students of the M. Ed. Department went on a one day trip to Neyyar dam on the 22nd of January.  The journey started at 8.00 am in the morning. They went boating and visited the lion safari park and deer park. After lunch they also visited the Kottoor elephant reserve. The team returned to the college by 6.00 pm.
