On 18th March,GOOGLE CLASSROOM platform was launched by college for online tutoring of students.

On 17th March,Mar Theophilus family prepared sanitizer for their internal use in the guidance of the Principal, Dr. K. Y. Benedict

College closed


From 13th -31st March, the College closed from regular classes for Covid 19 prevention as per government order.

Project Viva


On 11th March, External board for semester IV students-Project Viva were conducted.

Annual Tour


On 3rd -11th March, the Annual Tour to, The Golden Triangle. The tour package included Agra-Jaipur-Delhi. Specifically to Agra Fort, TajMahal, Sikandra Fort,Amber Fort,City Palace,HawaMahal,JantarMantar,JalMahal,Qutubminar,Lotus Temple,Humayun’s Tomb,Teen Murthi,Akshardham temple and sightseeing’s in Delhi.

Internal Evaluation


On 2nd March, the Internal Evaluation of Projects was conducted by the panel of teachers in parallel sessions to make presentations in a better manner.

National science Day


On 28th February,National science Day Celebrations was conducted in the college by Essay Competition by Natural science association and Poster Designing and Crossword Puzzle by Physical science Association. It was followed by Dance promo by Ekayana with Danspiration team was conducted as a promo for Annual Tour Programme.

Talent of the year contest


On 27th February, the Talent of the year contest was organised by Media Club. The title was won by Abhirami R.S.

Higher Education Opportunities and Placement


On 26th February, ateam of teachers from Mar Theophilus Training College visited B.N.V. College of Education, Thiruvallam as part of the Lecture series on "Higher Education Opportunities and Placement" for IQAC .

Obituary


On 22nd February, the father of Dr. Bindu B, Asst.Prof.in Social Science was passed away  On 22nd February and funeral was on 24th February.

On 17th February,Random Acts of Kindness Day
Dr. ShashiTharoorthe honourable MP,addressed the Mar Theophilus Training College on “The Challenges and Potential of Higher Education”, and launched their Union’s Campaign for National Random Acts of Kindness Day by unveiling a calendar that suggests a different act of kindness for each day of the month . Dr. Tharoor,Indian International Diplomat gave way the gifts for the winners of the lucky dip coupon collected for 64th college union activities.

On 13th February, a team of teachers from Mar Theophilus Training College visited St. Thomas Training College ,Mukkola as part of the Lecture series on "Higher Education Opportunities and Placement" for IQAC on 13th February .

Awareness of Mental Health


On 13th February,A session on “Awareness of Mental Health” by Sr.Julie George SH, ClinicalPsychologist, St. John’s Malankara Medical Village, Pirappincode ,was organized by the Psychology Club.

Obituary


The former Psychology Professorof Mar Theophilus Training College Nalanchira Thiruvananthapuram, Prof.Dr.Elanjimannil John (78)has been called to eternal rest and the funeral was on 4th February 2020 at 3pm at St.Joseph's Cathedral,Palayam. All the faculty members of the college visited the home to pay homage to the greateducator.

External board for Evaluation


On 3rd February, visit of External board for Evaluation of semester IV students in Optional Subject were conducted for two days. The panel were impressive and the examination conducted was an effective one.

Lucky Dip


On 29th January,Assembly was conducted by English optional.
Ekayana conducted a lucky dip for all students teachers in the college. The purpose was to raise funds for Union activities. The experience game was a kick-starter so that they gained an amount around one lakh for their future activities.The winners for the lucky dip were selected randomly by the teachers .The gifts were announced for 8 contestants.

M.Ed. Thesis Submission


On 28th January, a prayer session was organised for the M.Ed. Thesis Submission. The blessing was done by Rev. Fr. Joshua Kochuvilayil, Bursar, Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Republic Day


On 26th January, as part of Republic Day Celebration, National Flag was hosted at 8.30 am in the college. Union members and representatives from various departments participated and revealed their respect to the nation.

64th College Union (EKAYANA) & Arts Club inauguration


The 64th College Union (EKAYANA) and Arts Club inaugurationwas on 16th January 2020. Sri.V.K.Prasanth MLA inaugurated the Union, Adv. Babujan, Member, Syndicate, University of Kerala delivered the Key Note Address, Sri. Madam Mohan, Cine Artist inaugurated the Arts Club.

Theosa fest 2020


On 11th January, Theosa fest 2020 in Special Remembrance to Dr.T.P.Jose was transpired. So from this year two new ever rolling trophies in memory of Dr.T.P.Jose sir for the Men and Women Sports champions of each year was bestowed. As usual for all theophilites, who had cleared NET,SET,KTET, CTET etc including PhD in the academic year were appreciated with gifts.

Theosa fest at UAE

On 10th January, Theosa fest at UAE was conducted at Mr.BijuParappurathu House in Dubai.

On 9th January, Yoga classes  were  resumed.

On 6th January, Internship Phase II starts for Forth Semester Students.

Assembly


On 1st January, the Physical Science Optional students conducted the assembly with New Year resolutions. Each and every participant in the assembly joined in the resolution.
The New year 2020 was saluted by Ekayana with distinctive mode of celebrations. It included SWOT Analysis, Video presentations, Pros-Cons Verifications and Open Dance Spectrum.
            Demonstration classes for Second Semester Students started.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas was celebrated in the campus by Ekayana with Crib, Colossal Star, Carol song, Christmas message by Rev. Fr. Vincy Varghese (Vice Principal,Mar Ivanios College) and Mega Gift Exchange. Rev.Fr. Thomas Kayyalackal cut the Christmas cake.

Arts fest "Veyilpookkal” on 18th and 19thDecember.

The 64th college Union conducted the Food Fest, “Fest bon apetit 2019” with six food stalls and variety of dishes. The major dishes include Pizzas, Pastas, Sandwiches, Burgers, Thattudosa and related items, Kappayum Curryum, Sorted Snacks and Juices to Traditional Pazhamkanji .The affiliates of Mar Ivanios Vidhyanagar participated in the programme wholeheartedly so that the event was a grant successful one
